Flour Tortillas is an easy and quick recipe for making your own tortillas. Once you’ve done this you will never use store bought tortillas again. There are only four ingredients and it’s done in a skillet. Ingredients: Flour, water, salt and olive oil. This is also a healthy, low calories, low fat, low cholesterol, low sugars, low carbohydrates, low sodium, heart-healthy, diabetic-friendly and Weight Watchers (4 PointsPlus), (5 SmartPoints) recipe. Makes: (8) tortillas. Flour Tortillas will be loved by all of your family, friends and guests.

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup water
3 Tbsp olive oil

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. In a large bowl, combine together the flour and salt. Stir in water and oil. Turn onto a floured surface; knead 10-12 times, adding a little flour or water if needed to achieve a smooth dough. Let rest for 10 minutes.

2. Divide dough into eight portions. On a lightly floured surface, roll each portion into a 7 inch circle.

3. In a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray, cook tortillas over medium-heat for 6-7 seconds on each side or until lightly browned. Keep warm.

Yield: 8 Servings.
