Oven Baked Stuffing is a delicious, savory recipe for the traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas side dish. It takes less than (1) hour to make this, from start to finsh. It is also a low calories, low fat, low cholesterol, low carbohydrates and Weight Watchers (4) PointsPlus per serving recipe. Could easily be adapted to lower points if desired or forget the diet and make up your Points later. After all it’s a holiday just enjoy. Makes (18) servings. Oven Baked Stuffing will loved by all of your family, friends and guests.

oven-baked-stuffingINGREDIENTS:

2 sticks butter
2 cups chopped celery
1 cup chopped onions
2 tsp dried thyme leaves
1-1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
1 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
12 cups dry unseasoned bread cubes
4 cups chicken broth

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 375° F.

2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add celery and onion; cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in thyme, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt and pepper.

3. Place bread cubes in a large bowl. Add celery mixture and broth; toss gently until well mixed. Spoon into a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

4. Bake 35 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.

YIELD: 18 Servings
